Driving along the Bloomfield Track, Queensland

Cairns Car Rental Location

Cairns is a laid-back city best enjoyed outside and ultimately the gateway to Queensland’s tropical north. Cairns is great to visit if you’d like to visit the Great Barrier Reef and World Heritage Rainforest, but there is also so much to do in and around town.

With two different branch locations in Cairns, Apollo Car Rentals is making car rental easy! The two Apollo Car Rentals branches are located at the Cairns Airport and Downtown Cairns. Which means whether you’d like to hire a car downtown or as soon as you hop off the plane, we can help.

As soon as you hop off the plane at the Cairns Airport (CNS) simply visit our Airport branch, pick up your rental vehicle keys and you are free to start exploring Far North Queensland. Our Cairns downtown branch is conveniently located at Cairns Square Shopping Centre making pick up & drop off easy.

Car Hire Tips for Cairns:

  • Around Cairns, the speed limit is usually 50km/h and 100km/h on surrounding highways. Make sure you pay attention to road signage displaying local speed limits and road conditions.

  • Far North Queensland can get very hot, when you leave the car unattended, always take valuable items out of the car to avoid damage.

  • As Cairns is the doorway to a number of popular tourist destinations across Far North Queensland, it is important to book early to avoid missing out in peak season.
